布亚斯法定产区是全西班牙所有红酒原产地之中占地面积最小的产区。
而形成这一优势的原因依托于海拔600到900米世界最高的莫纳斯特雷尔葡萄园。
产区的土壤是由石灰石和丰富的自然有机物质组成,且气候干燥,降雨主要是在秋季的葡萄生长周期之外,降雨量为310mm/m2。
这一特质使得庄园的葡萄可以缓慢的自然成熟,从而可以生产出优质和浓郁的红酒。
